Current Cooper Union Student Applicants
If you are currently a junior in the undergraduate program at Cooper Union, you should NOT submit a Master of Engineering application. All current juniors should complete the Dual Degree Master's Program Notification Form. Please click here to learn more about the dual degree program.
The application steps listed below are for applicants who already graduated from The Cooper Union or are currently seniors pursuing an integrated degree in The Cooper Union School of Engineering. The below materials must be submitted by February 15, 2023. For help with questions regarding the graduate application and admissions process, visit our online FAQ. - B.Eng. or B.S.E. degree
- Master of Engineering Application (including personal statement)
- 4+ Program Degree Audit Form
- Resume
- OPTIONAL: Official GRE Scores

All Other Applicants
The application steps listed below are for applicants who have NOT graduated from or will not be graduating from Cooper Union's School of Engineering. The below materials must be submitted through the application by February 15, 2023.
- B.Eng. degree in an engineering discipline
- Master of Engineering Cooper Application
- Official copies all post-secondary transcripts, including college/university transcripts
- Official TOEFL, IELTS, or DET scores, (if Bachelor’s degree was taught in a language other than English)
- We do not accept results from the following: IELTS Indicator, TOEFL ITP Plus for China, TOEFL Essentials, and PTE Academic Online.
- 2 teacher recommendations (at least one from a STEM course instructor)
- Resume
- OPTIONAL: Official GRE Scores
- $75 application fee or fee waiver (if applicable)

Resume Requirements
In a separate document, please submit a resume, listing any professional licensure or certification along with a statement indicating what areas within engineering you seek to study. Be sure to outline any relevant academic honors or awards, teaching or work experiences, internships, publications, research, projects, websites, patents, or other evidence of creative scholarship. In the same document, please list any relevant graduate-level coursework taken and method of instruction; traditional, online, and hybrid (mix of online and traditional).
